Sunday Meetings

What will you experience if you visit us at 2pm on Sundays?

We love praising God together in song - this is a great way to start your day so be sure to arrive on time so you don't miss out. After the singing the children go to Sunday School or Crèche if they're still a toddler.

During this time one or two members of our church fellowship will share a short before and after story about how Jesus came into their lives, and how that experience has changed and healed them. People are not asked in advance nor do they rehearse what they will say - it is simply their story, told from their heart.

Bible-based Ministry

Living our lives according to God's word is a fundamental part of our life, and we enjoy hearing sound Bible-based ministry from one of our pastors or leaders.

Communion

Taking communion together is the highlight of our week as we remember the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made on our behalf. We sing a hymn as the communion ‘elements’ are distributed, which are a piece of biscuit; representing the broken body of Jesus, and a small cup of grape juice; symbolising the blood that He shed on the cross.

At this time we remember that because of His sacrifice, we are able to forgive and to be forgiven.

'...If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from sin.' - 1 John 1 v 7

We are also reminded that he will come again.

'For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death til he comes.' 1 Corinthians 11 v 26

If you are uncomfortable or unsure about taking the communion elements, just let them pass by; it is perfectly okay to do so.

Spiritual Voice Gifts

The next part of our meeting was a normal part of proceedings in the early Christian church but is not commonly experienced today. The spiritual voice gifts of the Holy Spirit are operated in an orderly way as directed in 1 Corinthians 14: 26 - 40 - speaking in tongues, interpretation and prophecy - which are inspired words of encouragement and direction to the church, and a sign that God is present among the people to those who know nothing about these things.

Prayer Line

Following this we have a prayer line where people are encouraged to come forward and pray with our pastors and leaders about any difficulties or needs they may have, for healing, to ask for the Holy Spirit, or to pray for others. Visitors are very welcome and encouraged to come forward for prayer.

Water Baptism

For those who indicate that they want to commit their lives to Christ, you are invited to be baptised. We have a baptismal tank and, as this is the full immersion baptism of the Bible, we provide swimmers and robes for each person’s comfort.

We also encourage any who want to know God, to seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Becoming ‘Spirit-filled’ is a wonderfully empowering experience and the start of a brand new life in Christ.

‘Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'  Acts 2 v38

Crèche and Sunday School

A crèche is provided for babies and toddlers during the Sunday communion meeting. Carers are usually parents themselves and will care for your child in a nurturing environment. A private room is available for you if you are a nursing mother or need to change your baby’s nappy.

For pre-schoolers and older children we provide a Sunday school. This is a place where kids can learn about God; what He’s done, and what He can do for them. We believe in instilling a love for God and His creation in our children in a way that is fun and easy to understand. Our hope is that they will desire to seek Him and to learn more about His love and grace of their own accord.
